PERSONAL GROWTH
During my senior year, I served as First Lieutenant for my drill team. This is my squad, the group of girls that I instructed and taught the entirety of the school year. Each of them made a huge impact on the way I lead and work with others who learn differently than I am accustomed to.
Throughout my first semester of college, I have been able to further cultivate which aspects of my life I value most. This reflection provides further insight to the reasoning behind my core values and how they guide my actions and mindsets on a daily basis.
This is Church Mountain at Camp Longhorn, a summer camp that I have attended for 12 years. I was a camper for 9 years, and now I have had the privilege to work here for the past 3 years. This camp has been the place where I can be myself and make a social impact on those around me, no matter the age. Not only do I teach kids individually, but I also help guide them through team building activities and develop a personal relationship with each.
